Ike caused more trouble than we thought

We came through Ike relatively unhurt at our house. But I'd been wondering about mom's house since I knew East Texas had lots of damage too. And since she's here for treatment, no one knew. I tried to contact two of her co-workers but haven't had luck.

I had a call today from another co-worker saying that a neighbor of mom's called them to report damage to the house from two downed trees. I hadn't heard back from the other co-workers because Internet has been down. The neighbor who was so kind to call took some pics and emailed them to me. I've already called mom's insurance company to get the claims process going. Yet another thing to worry about...when it rains, it pours.
